LEEDS CITY COUNCIL POLICY & PLANS GROUP

We are currently undertaking a public consultation entitled - Leeds Local Plan Update: Your                         Neighbourhood, Your City, Your Planet. In light of the declared Climate Change Emergency we

are wanting to update our planning policies to help Leeds reach the target of being a carbon                     neutral city by 2030. We are currently asking the public whether they agree with this ambition,

and for any comments, ideas or suggestions from anyone who lives, works, studies or carries out               business in the Leeds District. A member of our team will be available with some paper copies of               the consultation material as well as some short questionnaires and will be able to give anybody                 interested an overview of our vision, advise people how they can help and also answer any                        questions.

The following 'taster sessions' from Heydays will be available to try:
COLLAGE with Cassy Oliphant - We'll be creating collages of sunflowers, exploring different textures and shades of colour. It should be accessible to everyone, including those who don't often think they're particularly creative! Sunflowers bring so much joy to a space, and so this is also a celebration of nature.
CERAMICS with Sally Storry
PAINTING & DRAWING with Miriam Laville - create 2D images, focussing on the theme of florals utilising a selection of different media; such as soft pastels, charcoal, water colour pencils and collage. The group will be encouraged to try new art techniques in original ways in order to create vibrant and dynamic compositions.
TEXTILES with Hayley Mills-Styles - a taster session in hand embroidery.

Hayley will show you some basic stitches and talk about all things embroidery.

HAND MASSAGE with Clare Millington

Crafting with Charlotte Fairclough - creating positive/ motivational quote mini banners. Banners decorated with paint, pen, hand stitching and appliqué. We will also add further decoration with handmade Pom poms & tassles. Bright, bold and beautiful positive reminders to hang in the home.
